Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct technical aspects of electricity transmission line design projects (34.5 kV to 500 kV), including new lines, relocations, reconstructions, upgrades, structure replacements, and fiber optic additions.
  • •Prepare and review design deliverables, including plans and profiles, material selection, and construction estimates.
  • •Conduct quality reviews of deliverables produced internally and by subcontractors.
  • •Manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting budgets and schedules; develop and monitor scope, schedules, and budgets in line with plans and contracts.
  • •Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors, act as the technical project lead and primary client liaison, identify challenges, and provide leadership and mentorship to team members.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in civil engineering (B. Ing.), mechanical engineering (B. Ing.), or electrical engineering (B. Ing.) from an accredited institution.
  • •Minimum 10 years of experience designing energy transmission lines, including high- and very-high-voltage overhead lines, alignments, line and structure placement, structure design and analysis, and construction tender package preparation.
  • •Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Lite.
  • •Engineering professional designation P.Eng. / Ing. required.
  • •Experience in project engineering or project management within multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
