Job Summary

Maintain and repair road construction and mechanical equipment, including trucks, trailers, batch plants, paving machines, bulldozers, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems. Diagnose defects by operating and inspecting equipment, dismantle devices to access parts, inspect and measure components, adjust instruments, repair or replace defective parts, weld structural members, lubricate and clean components, and start equipment to test performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
•Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
•Examine form and texture, inspect used parts, and determine dimensional requirements to detect imperfections.
•Adjust functional parts and control instruments; repair or replace defective parts and install special functional and structural parts.
•Lubricate and clean parts; start devices to test performance, and weld broken parts and structural members.
