Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide expert counsel and strategic guidance on commercial contracting and risk identification/mitigation for merchant relationships.
  • •Negotiate, draft, and guide implementation of commercial agreements in close collaboration with business and legal partners.
  • •Support credit, fintech, and payment innovation related new product initiatives across the Discover Network.
  • •Support development and maintenance of competitive rule sets for the Discover Network.
  • •Identify and support process improvements, including contract template improvements, to increase agility in legal and related business operations.

Salary: USD 209,500 - 239,100 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • •Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
  • •At least 8 years of experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or a combination.
  • •Ability to provide expert counsel and strategic guidance across commercial contracting and risk identification/mitigation.
