Key Responsibilities

  • •Own asset management and control procedures for all calibrated instruments, serving as the sole tracker of location and ownership in the calibration registry.
  • •Maintain objective evidence for AS9100 and manufacturing readiness level (MRL) calibration compliance artifacts.
  • •Support DCMA surveillance with accurate, audit-ready tooling and asset records.
  • •Govern tool control procedures including broken tool replacement, tagging, engraving, and ownership handoff to station leads.
  • •Serve as named asset management POC for manufacturing readiness assessments and provide calibration compliance artifacts as required.

Key Requirements

  • •3-5 years of relevant tool control/tool crib experience in an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment.
  • •Prior experience standing up or running a tool crib/tool control program, ideally under AS9100 and DCMA oversight.
  • •Maintain calibrated instrument tracking in a registry/asset management system, coordinating with a third-party calibration vendor.
  • •Basic training in tool control and work order release methods; comfortable using forms, records, and reports.
  • •Able to read engineering specifications (bolt/fastener specs, drawings, operation sheets) and correct tool/part requests before purchasing.
