Key Responsibilities

•Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and government contract documents, including NDAs, teaming agreements, leases, licenses, acquisition/disposition agreements, and supplier agreements.
•Own legal support for supply chain by designing and implementing policies, procedures, templates, and training to flow down appropriate terms to counterparties, leveraging cost-efficient resources including AI.
•Provide strategic and day-to-day legal advice to internal stakeholders (senior management, sales, finance, engineering), balancing legal risk with business objectives.
•Provide legal guidance on flow-down requirements from the FAR, DFARS, and other federal regulations.
•Advise proposal teams on supply chain legal risks and serve as a primary point of contact for key external stakeholders and outside counsel.

Key Requirements

•Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar, with the ability to practice or register as in-house counsel in California.
•6+ years of legal experience, including substantial time at a law firm and/or in-house role supporting government contracting.
•Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial and government contracts, including complex contract documentation.
•Experience advising on commercial and government contracts compliance issues, including FAR/DFARS requirements and flow-down obligations.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex legal concepts to non-lawyers and influence stakeholders.
