Key Responsibilities

•Learn the tools and processes to become a VMKernel engineer and participate in designing and developing OS techniques and algorithms for managing virtual and real hardware
•Collaborate with a technical lead and manager to define goals and advance in your career
•Implement advanced kernel-level CPU scheduling-related resource management features emphasizing scalability, performance, reliability, and new hardware technologies
•Work with multiple engineering teams to architect, design, implement and deliver new products based on the enterprise-class VCF virtualization platform
•Take ownership of CPU Scheduling projects and progressively lead larger parts of projects

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 143,800 - 230,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BS degree in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of experience, or MS with 10+ years, or PhD with 7+ years of experience
•Strong understanding of kernel-level CPU and NUMA scheduling; kernel-level memory management a plus
•Broad understanding of OS virtualization solutions and hypervisors (ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM, XEN)
•Strong knowledge of kernel-level OS architectures (Linux, Unix, Solaris, BSD-like, Windows)
•Extensive kernel-level development experience with synchronization in preemptive multi-threaded environments
