Job Summary

Coordinate small-scope construction and move/support projects for RTX sites in the Southwest region, including defining scope, monitoring progress, scheduling, and quality control through completion. Develop CAD-based architectural and furniture plans and create construction documents for bids. Produce drawings and presentations for internal and client stakeholders, conduct field surveys for drawing accuracy, and coordinate procurement of office chairs and furniture sustainment while partnering with vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage small scope construction projects, including defining scope, monitoring progress, holding team meetings, and evaluating completion, with travel to support other Southwest regional sites.
•Create CAD-based architectural and furniture plans, including complete construction documents for project bids.
•Produce detailed drawings and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients, including steering committee meetings for review and feedback.
•Facilitate meetings and interface regularly with business representatives to provide illustrative project designs to leaders.
•Perform field surveys and create electronic documents using CAD software for architectural drawing accuracy, and coordinate procurement of office chairs and furniture sustainment.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the construction or facilities area using AutoCAD plus a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Interior Design, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent combination of work and schooling).
•Working knowledge of construction techniques and ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
•2+ years’ experience scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and producing all phases of construction, managing/overseeing multiple construction projects across multiple sites.
•Knowledge of OSHA Construction Industry regulations and practices, plus working knowledge of building codes and local amendments.
•1+ years’ experience using AutoCAD to prepare, modify, and maintain engineering, architectural, and facility drawings.
