Location: Redwood City
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Business Operations
Seniority: Manager level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Own daily and weekly throughput reporting across active datasets, including episode totals, review progress, and ETAs, and distribute scorecards to the team and stakeholders.
  • •Run the Encord pipeline end to end by creating and configuring projects, setting up SOPs and ontologies, and moving datasets through annotate/review/complete stages (including grade splits, assignments, and resyncs).
  • •Track and continuously improve operational metrics like throughput per headcount, cycle times, and expected vs. actual labeling time, flagging bottlenecks early.
  • •Start by leading a pod of labelers with day-to-day assignments and first-line supervision, then progressively manage the full annotation team and formalize sub-leads.
  • •Manage third-party and vendor relationships by coordinating partner workstreams (access, invites, projects, SOPs) and ensuring clean data handoffs between systems and external tooling.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years running operations, program management, or team management in data annotation, data operations, ML data pipelines, BPO, or vendor management.
  • •Direct people management experience, including supervising a team, running hiring, and handling performance and approvals.
  • •Strong operational instincts: build repeatable processes, track the right metrics, and own dashboards, scorecards, and reporting.
  • •Comfort with annotation and labeling tooling such as Encord, with technical fluency for spreadsheets, basic SQL or scripts, and pipeline tools.
  • •Vendor and third-party management experience as the accountable point of contact for scope and schedule.
