Solicit residential first-mortgage loans by working with Realtors, builders, and developers, and by building referral relationships within the bank region. Maintain strong customer service and stay current on loan products and underwriting guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with an assigned branch office to ensure awareness of home loan products and handle referrals with appropriate follow-up.
•Develop referral contacts including realtors, builders, and professional/personal contacts within the bank region.
•Interview loan applicants, make credit decisions, and analyze financial data for creditworthiness.
•Use daily rates, credit reports, and DU responses to transmit information to the processor and deliver loan packages with required documentation in a timely manner.
•Maintain knowledge of loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines; complete required compliance training and attend lending meetings.

Key Requirements

•Equivalent to a four-year college degree plus 4 years of related experience and/or training.
•Ability to analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness.
•Ability to take borrower applications and prepare complete loan packages by collecting required documentation.
•Ability to read, analyze, and understand business articles and speak effectively before customers or employees.
•S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
