Job Summary

Lead 2nd-shift repair operations at Pratt & Whitney’s East Hartford Repair Operations (EHRO) repair station. Drive customer requirements and ensure compliance across safety, quality, cost, and delivery while coordinating daily with material, customer support, quality, and engineering. Own operational execution, resource planning, staffing and training, and performance feedback for a team of bargaining unit employees in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead 2nd-shift operations at the East Hartford repair station and meet EHRO EH&S, customer, quality, and financial goals.
•Drive compliance, safety, quality, cost, and delivery by working with functional leaders and internal staff to operate the cell effectively.
•Handle operational aspects of the organization and coordinate daily to drive overall production toward goals.
•Provide leadership development and performance feedback to a team of skilled bargaining unit employees.
•Maintain compliance to safety and quality systems and define robust RCCA for audit findings on time.

Key Requirements

•Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; or Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years; or Associate’s degree and 7+ years; or High School diploma / Military / Technical Training and 9+ years.
•Personnel management experience, ideally within a bargaining unit/union workforce environment.
•Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA).
•Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs, SAP ERP, and Solumina MES.
•Knowledge of Pratt & Whitney shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures (preferred).
