Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and improve Buildkite CI pipelines, agents, queues, plugins, and overall build reliability.
  • •Support the AWS cloud estate for manual, automated, and CI systems, including routine upgrades and monitoring.
  • •Build new test pipelines and automated tests (component, integration, end-to-end, and stability tests) for new features and platforms.
  • •Extend test coverage across Linux distributions, kernel versions, and container runtimes, making adding new targets routine.
  • •Investigate flaky tests and unreliable infrastructure, instrument CI for build health and failure patterns, and apply infrastructure-as-code practices.

Key Requirements

  • •A few years of commercial experience in test automation, SDET, QA engineering, or a similar role, with a track record of writing and maintaining automated tests.
  • •Working programming ability in Python, Go, C++, or Rust (and willingness to pick up the others).
  • •Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines in modern systems such as Buildkite, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • •Practical cloud experience, ideally AWS, covering IAM, compute, networking, and storage.
  • •Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes, with an appetite to work across EKS, AKS, and GKE.
