OP Medical Coder

Assign accurate ICD-9/ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG codes based on clinical documentation, validate physician diagnoses and procedures, and abstract relevant medical details. Review records for completeness and consistency, ensure correct E&M levels, and maintain compliance with HAAD/DOH coding guidelines. Provide feedback to physicians, stay current on coding updates, mentor medical coding staff, and support OSH and infection control requirements.
