Job Summary

Provide technical leadership and project delivery support for a portfolio of building systems projects across healthcare, life sciences, commercial, higher education, and other complex facilities. Lead mechanical design and coordination from concept through construction, develop HVAC and related system expertise, review calculations and construction documents, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients, and perform QA/QC and field/site investigations while mentoring junior engineers and supporting proposals and project planning.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead mechanical design and coordination of multiple building projects from concept through construction.
•Provide technical expertise in HVAC systems, hydronic systems, air distribution systems, automatic temperature controls, and energy-efficient building solutions.
•Prepare and review mechanical engineering studies, calculations, technical reports, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
•Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams, including serving as a trusted technical advisor in client meetings.
•Conduct QA/QC reviews and support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource coordination, and construction administration while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
•5–7 years of relevant post-education experience in mechanical building systems engineering.
•Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
•Demonstrated experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, or complex building projects.
•Experience using Revit and AutoCAD, and strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, industry standards, and applicable codes.
