Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor process variables and recommend process changes based on performance.
  • •Initiate and conduct investigatory projects and implement process efficiency improvements.
  • •Facilitate continuity and improvement of process, plant, and product quality within the assigned area.
  • •Develop and regularly update production upgrade plans and cost reduction plans to ensure prudent capital commitment.
  • •Improve refinery technical efficiency using standard methodology and daily management processes, including process problem-solving and plant trials to expand production capability.

Key Requirements

  • •Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering (or a similar field engineering background such as metallurgy or mineral processing).
  • •Process plant experience, with working knowledge of the Bayer process highly regarded.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of personnel across the business.
  • •Capability to maintain effective process management systems.
  • •A proactive problem-solving mindset with initiative and a continuous improvement approach, including commitment to environment, health, and safety.
