Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out research and analysis for planning policy projects.
  • •Support policy elements such as local authority policy and strategy development, local plan evidence studies, strategic growth studies, and infrastructure strategies.
  • •Formulate strategic planning advice to clients and internal teams.
  • •Represent the organisation by developing relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, including attendance at conferences and networking.
  • •Assist project managers with delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and upholding quality assurance and health and safety principles.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant experience contributing to planning policy and strategy development in a consultancy or public sector role.
  • •Client focus with good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working approach.
  • •A business development mindset, ideally with experience working on winning work and developing client relationships.
  • •Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and communicate effectively.
  • •A degree in Town Planning (or related discipline) and membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent, or working towards membership.
