Key Responsibilities

  • •Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements; perform make-versus-buy input and coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
  • •Coordinate product development deliverables through matrix management of buyers, planners, and production control; interpret engineering requirements.
  • •Under supervision, create, release, and update new project materials strategy.
  • •Support supplier sourcing: negotiate price/delivery and contracts as necessary, perform supplier selection/assessment and risk assessment, and monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost).
  • •Manage materials change control, resolve quality/cost issues, generate and publish key process indicators, track total landed cost targets, and execute commercialization (transition) materials plan.
