Job Summary

Drive a tri-axle (or single/multi-axle) dump truck to transport construction materials to and from job sites. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and make routine operating adjustments, including oil/grease/service checks. Follow verbal and written instructions, communicate effectively, and support safe, efficient operations by loading and unloading materials as directed.

Key Responsibilities

•Transport construction materials to and from job sites using a dump truck.
•Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and make normal operating adjustments.
•Load and position the truck for loading by a loader or plant operator/storage bin.
•Lower the truck bed and return for additional loading as needed.
•Lift and move materials as required (occasionally 10 to 30 lbs) and handle basic maintenance tasks (e.g., change wheels, adjust lugs, use hand tools).

Key Requirements

•Operate a tri-axle or single/multi-axle dump truck safely and efficiently.
•Hold a Commercial Drivers’ License with required endorsements under 49 CFR 383.91 (heavy straight vehicle Group B or combination Group A).
•Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, including checks of oil, water, horn, lights, tires, windshield/wipers, fire extinguisher, fuel, and seat belt.
•Follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively as a team player.
•Have prior dump-truck experience in a construction environment and knowledge of aggregates of different types and sizes.
