Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform at least two welding processes as needed: FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, and/or GMAW.
  • •Fit up and weld structures or pipe spools made from mild carbon steel, low alloy, stainless, aluminum, or exotics.
  • •Perform fabrication math from drawings to derive dimensions, angles, and part locations.
  • •Analyze engineering drawings/specifications to plan fitting and welding operations when procedural information is unavailable.
  • •Handle hazardous materials, set up safety equipment and work platforms at elevation, and work in extreme outdoor environments.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •2+ years of experience in two of the welding processes: FCAW, SMAW/stick welding, GTAW/TIG welding, or GMAW/MIG welding.
  • •5+ years of experience in one of the welding processes: FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, or GMAW (preferred).
  • •Knowledge of standard tools, materials, and work practices of the welding trade (preferred).
  • •Knowledge of occupational hazards and effective safety precautions (preferred).
