•Own long-term reliability for a high-risk technical domain, focusing on data stores, resource utilization, and scalable distributed systems.
•Write production software to instrument, refactor, and rebuild components that cause issues at scale, prioritizing reliability over process.
•Collaborate with teammates, pair program, and mentor other production engineers to improve overall system quality.
•Drive customer impact by reducing incidents, enabling faster recovery, and lowering latency for a better experience.
•Contribute platform-level improvements when you identify reusable patterns that scale beyond a single engagement.

•Production-at-scale experience with large distributed systems; you’ve written fixes directly in production, not just tickets.

•Deep systems language proficiency (Java, Go, Rust, C++ or similar) with production-level depth.
•Experience navigating sharding, replication, failure modes, and consistency tradeoffs in real systems.
•Proven ability to diagnose and fix large codebases quickly and influence system design through wisdom and trust.
