Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot electrical power circuits, control and automation systems, and electronic/pneumatic equipment across Kinder Morgan’s pipeline compressor station and related facilities. Perform preventative maintenance and inspection/maintenance checks, calibrate equipment, run advanced engine/compressor/pump analytical testing, and address safety and environmental concerns. Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory and tariff requirements, oversee third-party maintenance/construction activities, and provide mentoring when opportunities arise.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement and maintain electrical power circuits and equipment, including control and automation systems and electronic/pneumatic equipment used in pipeline, compressor stations, terminals, pump stations, plant operations, and measurement facilities.
•Install, inspect, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic equipment while completing required documentation.
•Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, drivers, and auxiliary equipment, and run inspection and maintenance (I&M) checks on control systems.
•Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns while performing all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.
•Maintain electrical switchgear and power distribution; perform advanced engine/compressor/pump analytical testing and lead changes based on testing; oversee third-party construction/maintenance activities as needed.

Key Requirements

•Two-year associate degree in job related technical training or equivalent work experience.
•Working knowledge of National Electric Codes.
•Proficiency with electronic test instruments and ability to apply/interpret results from voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter, and oscilloscope.
•Knowledge of process controls and gas processing fundamentals, including reading/interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams.
•Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license; may be required to obtain/maintain a commercial driver’s license and required job certifications.
