Job Summary

Join a lab-based team providing scientific technical support to R&D laboratories. In Cambridge, you’ll manage consumables and inventory, handle cell and sample deliveries, and perform routine decontamination and calibration tasks. You’ll support tissue culture workflows with aseptic aliquoting and media preparation, assist with housekeeping and waste management, and provide glassware/plastics collection, washing, and sterilisation services in line with Health & Safety and Good Laboratory Standards.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Seniority: Entry level

Key Responsibilities

•Manage stock and perform daily consumable replenishment at the point of use using the site inventory system.
•Maintain laboratory consumable inventory and handle cell and sample deliveries.
•Perform routine decontamination of laboratory equipment including incubators, water baths, cell counters, class II cabinets, and water purification units.
•Calibrate pH meters and counterbalances, and manage pipette inventory and calibration schedules.
•Support tissue culture workflows with aseptic aliquoting of reagents and basic media preparation, including laboratory housekeeping and waste management.

Key Requirements

•Experience of working in a laboratory environment.
•Knowledge of SHE requirements in a laboratory environment.
•Good IT skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
•Proven excellent customer service focus and the ability to work collaboratively.
•Flexibility with working hours when required to deliver customer service.
