Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead seismic source, mechanical handling, and NHV back deck activities to support fleet performance.
  • •Manage a department of mechanical/instrument and field-based support staff, providing first-line technical and operational support to vessels and onshore teams.
  • •Maintain and improve specifications, standards, and technology/techniques for seismic source, mechanical handling, and NHV back deck for marine acquisition projects.
  • •Manage key technical service suppliers and monitor department spending, procurement, and budgetary forecasts for new technology.
  • •Monitor mechanical/back deck downtime across the fleet and implement programs to reduce it; support tender technical queries and emergency response duties.
Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience with marine seismic survey methods and technologies for towing and handling and sources.
  • •At least a degree level in an engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • •Required for frequent vessel visits: BOSIET or FOET certification.
