Lead PxGeo’s seismic source, mechanical handling, and NHV back deck activities from the Dubai office to support best-in-class fleet performance. Manage and coach a technical support department across onshore and offshore engineers, maintain technical specifications and standards, and drive continuous improvement of technology and techniques with a strong focus on safety, environmental performance, and operational efficiency. Manage suppliers and departmental spend, monitor downtime, and participate in tender technical responses and emergency response duties.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead seismic source, mechanical handling, and NHV back deck activities to support fleet performance.
•Manage a department of mechanical/instrument and field-based support staff, providing first-line technical and operational support to vessels and onshore teams.
•Maintain and improve specifications, standards, and technology/techniques for seismic source, mechanical handling, and NHV back deck for marine acquisition projects.
•Manage key technical service suppliers and monitor department spending, procurement, and budgetary forecasts for new technology.
•Monitor mechanical/back deck downtime across the fleet and implement programs to reduce it; support tender technical queries and emergency response duties.

Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

•Extensive experience with marine seismic survey methods and technologies for towing and handling and sources.
•At least a degree level in an engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
•Required for frequent vessel visits: BOSIET or FOET certification.
