Key Responsibilities

  • •End-to-end analysis, design, and delivery of secure, scalable software solutions across the full SDLC.
  • •Design and implement features where requirements are defined, applying strong technical judgment while adhering to Mastercard standards, processes, and best practices.
  • •Build and operate complex full-stack applications (e.g., Java, Node.js, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL) in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • •Ensure high-quality, maintainable software through best practices in clean architecture, testing, and secure development; own production excellence including incident response and on-call support.
  • •Collaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to prioritize work, estimate delivery, and drive customer-focused technical decisions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 111,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology, or relevant experience in software development.
  • •Full-stack software engineering experience delivering secure, scalable, and highly available applications, preferably in financial services or similarly regulated environments.
  • •Strong hands-on experience in backend development with Java technologies (Core Java, Spring Integration, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP web services).
  • •Strong proficiency in Java, Node.js, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and/or Python; experience designing and building APIs and distributed systems using REST/GraphQL.
  • •Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) including deploying, operating, and scaling production systems.
