Job Summary

Build software platforms and tools that help other engineers develop faster and more reliably. You’ll develop applications in Java (and other languages), scale services to handle high request rates, and collaborate with customers and product managers to deliver developer productivity tooling. Work across persistence, data, business logic, service APIs, and front-end UX, while writing design docs, driving changes across teams, and ensuring the reliability and success of productivity tools.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop software that assists other engineers in their software development processes.
•Build applications using Java, Python, and other programming languages.
•Scale services and applications to efficiently handle hundreds of users and thousands of requests per minute.
•Engage with customers and product managers to ensure delivery of needed tools and features.
•Write design documents and drive changes across teams and organizations while ensuring the reliability and success of productivity tools.

Key Requirements

•Experience as a software engineer on developer platform or productivity teams with back-end focus (preferably Java or Python).
•Ability to design and scale services and applications to handle hundreds of users and thousands of requests per minute.
•Strong software design skills: research and document technical tradeoffs clearly and concisely.
•Experience writing and executing tests, with proven reliability and testing problem-solving in complex domains.
•Familiarity with AWS and core services (e.g., EC2, S3) and with Kubernetes or other container management solutions.
