Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using test instruments; road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Document repair work on Repair Orders (RO) by uploading pictures using a company-issued iOS device and the proprietary TRAIT application, and complete DOT forms and other documentation while complying with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Maintain a current and valid DOT medical card (with required validity window).
