Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely operate construction trucks (up to approximately 100 ton) to transport scrap and/or finished materials between marine docks, storage yards, receiving bins, and other locations.
  • •Comply with policies, procedures, and guidelines for safe vehicle operation.
  • •Perform routine pre-operation vehicle inspections and address any issues requiring maintenance.
  • •Perform approved maintenance, plus fueling and lubrication of the vehicle as required.
  • •Follow proper procedures for loading, traveling, dumping, startup/shut down, and lockout; keep the vehicle clean and in working order at shift end.

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduation certificate (or equivalent) is desired but not required.
  • •Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
  • •Maintain a valid driver’s license and have thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
  • •Operate and maintain equipment safely at all times.
  • •Be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and work all shifts and weekends in all weather conditions.
