Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and service environmental monitoring wells to Class 3 well-technician standards and provincial regulation 903.
  • •Operate AZ/DZ-licensed vehicles to transport drilling equipment, materials, and tools to project locations.
  • •Assist with drilling, casing, and grouting to ensure safe, compliant, and high-performing well construction.
  • •Support contaminated-site remediation, water-supply planning, and infrastructure development by translating technical plans into real-world outcomes.
  • •Maintain a safety-first work environment by following WSP safety procedures, participating in tailgate meetings, and using proper PPE; document work with digital field forms and photo logs.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of hands-on monitoring well construction, drilling, environmental fieldwork, groundwater, or related technician/drilling-support experience.
  • •Valid Well Technician Class 3 certification (or eligibility) in the province.
  • •Valid AZ or DZ driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent) to safely operate heavy vehicles.
  • •Experience documenting well construction and completing well records in accordance with Reg. 903.
  • •Ability to work outdoors in variable weather and travel to remote project sites, adapting to project-driven schedules.
