Key Responsibilities

  • •Responsible for the preventive maintenance program for farm vehicles, office, hatchery, and poultry houses.
  • •Connect electrical wiring and cables and install lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, wall boxes, and terminal boards.
  • •Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair or replace defective parts and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
  • •Follow lockout/tagout guidelines when performing work requiring lockout/tagout.
  • •Perform weekly generator test runs.

Key Requirements

  • •12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (18 months if laid off or providing child/elder care).
  • •Forklift certified or able to obtain certification.
  • •Follow biosecurity and animal welfare requirements, including showering/changing before entering the facility and agreeing to avoid avian species.
  • •Willingness and ability to perform physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally moving heavier equipment up to 2000 pounds.
