Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee and coordinate all planning activities within the SP Manweb (SPM) region to ensure projects and programmes are scheduled effectively and aligned with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • •Provide planning governance as the key point of contact for performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • •Manage a team of Planners, ensuring accurate project progress reporting using forecasting techniques and delivery of required reporting metrics.
  • •Work with project and delivery teams to manage milestone/baseline variance, attend meetings, and support with site visits and contractor engagement.
  • •Promote stakeholder engagement across PMO, Design, Project, Construction, Quality, Environmental, System Design and Control Room teams; develop quality documented planning processes and drive continual improvement through planning reviews and lessons learned.

Key Requirements

  • •Engineering/Planning degree (or equivalent experience).
  • •Experience programming electrical infrastructure projects.
  • •Project Management methodology experience or qualifications.
  • •Extensive P6/MSPe experience and the ability to implement Quality Assurance processes.
  • •Experience with project risk management and control, including familiarity with contracts such as NEC, D&C and FIDIC, plus applicable Health, Safety and Environmental legislation (e.g., CDM).
