Own human-robot interfaces for setup, calibration, live operation, troubleshooting, and review across shifts. Location: San Francisco
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the human-robot interfaces for running, monitoring, and debugging robots from setup and calibration through live operation and review.
  • •Design a unified interface that supports an entire shift, covering preparation, troubleshooting, handoffs, and feedback.
  • •Design for safety by making state unambiguous, failure obvious, and safe actions the easy default under network drops or device failures.
  • •Own realtime edge experiences for video, robot state, and control within tight latency budgets, including related controllers and sensors.
  • •Ship software into the physical world with on-prem/on-device deployment, versioning/rollout, observability, and instrumentation to measure operational time loss.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong fullstack experience building production web applications and APIs, especially with React, TypeScript, and Python.
  • •Realtime web experience with WebRTC, WebSockets, streaming video, state synchronization, and debugging.
  • •Comfort with protobuf, gRPC, or similar schema-defined/binary wire formats rather than REST APIs.
  • •Experience shipping software that runs on machines you don’t administer, including on-prem or on-device deployment and degraded-network operation.
  • •Strong UX instincts for high-stakes, high-frequency interfaces where mistakes can have physical consequences.
