Job Summary

Deliver biodiversity net gain (BNG) assessments for infrastructure and development projects across the UK, supporting both internal and external clients. Produce and technically review biodiversity assessments, including BNG feasibility/design reports, Habitat Management Plans, and Welsh NBB assessments. Partner with the BNG lead to develop the BNG vision, support client and stakeholder engagement, and help build technical capabilities and digital biodiversity tools while contributing to bids and tenders.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver ecological BNG inputs for internal and external clients.
•Produce and technically review biodiversity assessments across the UK, including BNG feasibility/design stage reports and Habitat Management Plans.
•Work with the BNG lead to develop the BNG Vision across the UK.
•Support engagement and consultation with clients, planning authorities, statutory bodies, and the public.
•Contribute to bids/tenders and ongoing development of technical capabilities and digital biodiversity tools.

Key Requirements

•Degree (or equivalent) in ecology (or an associated subject) and membership of an appropriate professional institution (such as CIEEM).
•Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and policy.
•Experience delivering biodiversity assessments through suitable professional experience.
•Experience interpreting UKHabs data and Habitat Condition Assessments.
•Experience reviewing technical work, supporting wider team members, and bidding/tendering.
