Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and sustain technical knowledge in federal quantum computing workloads, including simulation, quantum error correction with real-time decoding, hybrid quantum-classical development, and QPU integration with HPC.
  • •Lead strategic collaborations with DOE national laboratories and federally funded quantum programs across DoD, IC, NIST, and NSF, identifying high-impact problems NVIDIA can solve.
  • •Partner with lab research teams and leadership computing facilities to plan, build, and embed CUDA-Q, cuQuantum, CUDA-Q QEC, and NVQLink into production research workflows.
  • •Conduct technical workshops, hackathons, and hands-on training at national labs and federal research venues; represent NVIDIA at conferences including SC, APS Global Physics Summit, and IEEE Quantum Week.
  • •Monitor the federal quantum landscape and deliver organized insights to NVIDIA engineering and product groups to support CUDA-Q and NVQLink roadmaps.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in physics, computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience; PhD preferred.
  • •8+ years of experience in quantum information science, including 5+ years in the quantum computing industry or at a national laboratory or similar research institution.
  • •Technical expertise across quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, or quantum hardware/control systems, with the ability to discuss at a principal-investigator level.
  • •Hands-on experience in scientific computing, high-performance computing, or GPU-accelerated software development.
  • •Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking to technical audiences.
