Job Summary

Design and review electrical and ICA elements for water and wastewater infrastructure projects across feasibility, outline, detail, and construction design. Perform site surveys and produce key deliverables such as load schedules, single line diagrams, MCC arrangements, instrument schedules, cable calculations, and PLC/SCADA control information. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support bid proposals, ensure designs meet standards, budgets, and timelines, and mentor more junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Undertake design and review of electrical and ICA elements for wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects, including site surveys and key electrical deliverables.
•Develop electrical documentation across design stages (Feasibility, Outline, Detail, and Construction Design) and ensure compliance with national and international standards.
•Collaborate with local and nationwide multidisciplinary teams and communicate with clients and collaborators during design and planning phases.
•Delegate tasks, direct and oversee others’ work, and act as a technical mentor to more junior staff.
•Assist in preparing and managing bids and proposals and produce/review client deliverables (calculations, drawings, and technical reports) to relevant standards.

Key Requirements

•Proven experience designing water and wastewater engineering deliverables, ideally including treatment schemes.
•BEng or MEng in a related engineering field with experience in water and wastewater treatment.
•Chartered (or near Chartered) Member of a relevant Professional Institution.
•Proven experience working at a senior engineer level at a consultancy in the water sector.
•Experience managing projects, delegating tasks, and providing technical mentoring.
