Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, implement, improve, and maintain environmental compliance programs for construction and remediation across the Hawthorne site.
  • •Oversee day-to-day environmental site management and enforce and audit the site-wide Soil Management Plan (SMP).
  • •Own all aspects of the SMP, incorporating changes in close collaboration with DTSC.
  • •Oversee monitoring and sampling required by the SMP, including VOC monitoring with PID, methane monitoring, and VOC air sampling.
  • •Maintain compliance with DTSC, CUPA, EPA, and other applicable agencies; track regulatory changes and coordinate contractors for permitting, testing, and assessments.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree.
  • •California Licensed Professional Geologist.
  • •5+ years of professional experience executing environmental and regulatory compliance programs, preferably in manufacturing and/or construction environments.
  • •Experience implementing a site-wide Soil Management Plan required by DTSC, including environmental remediation such as lead and asbestos remediation.
  • •Experience with environmental agencies and operating air monitoring and sampling equipment (e.g., PID and certified summa canisters).
