Key Responsibilities

•Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive government affairs strategy aligned with business objectives, including engagement with legislative and regulatory bodies.
•Domestic Relationship Management and Advocacy: Build bipartisan relationships with Congress, federal agencies, state legislators, and local officials to advocate Motorola Solutions’ interests.
•Global Relationship Management and Advocacy: Align with international teams to engage foreign governments and organizations on policy issues in key markets.
•Policy Analysis and Development: Monitor legislative developments, articulate policy positions, and inform debates to advance company interests.
•Coalition Building and Internal Collaboration: Build alliances with industry groups and coordinate with legal, communications, marketing and technical teams; manage budgets and lead a team.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 190,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (JD, MPP, MBA) preferred.
•10+ years of progressive experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related field, including significant experience working with Congress and federal agencies.
•Established network of relationships with key policymakers and influencers in Washington, D.C. and relevant state capitals.
•Deep understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes at the federal, state, and local levels.
•Ability to travel as needed.
