Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the regional Development Team by producing designs and drawings for construction projects and associated technical reports to support planning applications and construction stages.
  • •Work on multiple projects and client accounts concurrently, including input to multidisciplinary projects (e.g., energy, active travel, healthcare, education) in the UK and abroad.
  • •Deliver design calculations and construction drawings, masterplans, and site appraisals, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • •Apply highway design and highway drainage principles (layout, etc.) and use Civils 3D or PDS along with Highways England/DMRB guidance.
  • •Collaborate effectively with colleagues at varying levels of seniority to produce cohesive designs, drawings and reports.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •A Civil Engineering degree and Chartered status or nearing Chartered status with experience in highway and highway drainage design.
  • •Strong postgraduate experience in a civil engineering working environment.
  • •Ability to produce masterplans, site appraisals, write reports to support planning applications, design calculations and construction drawings.
  • •Solid engineering foundation with understanding of highway design and highway drainage principles (layout, etc.).
  • •Experience in using Civils 3D or PDS (or similar) and applying Highways England/DMRB and Local Authority design guidance; experience in drainage design using InfoDrainage; familiarity with Water Company design codes and local authority design guides.
