Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain laboratory network equipment health, including switches, routers, firewalls, and related network tools and applications.
  • •Lead network engineering projects end-to-end, from research and feasibility through design, procurement, lab testing, implementation planning, training, documentation, and transition to operations.
  • •Create technical documentation such as network drawings, test plans/reports, implementation plans, and white papers.
  • •Collaborate on enterprise network design, including IP address schemes, routing/switching, segmentation, and security.
  • •Serve as Tier III support for an enterprise network operations center, providing in-depth analysis of complex networking problems and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •CCNA or JNCIA required; CCNP or JNCIP preferred.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field with at least six years of enterprise network design experience, or 12 years’ equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • •Expertise in Layer 2/Layer 3 networking protocols and technologies including IS-IS, BGP/MP-BGP, MPLS, RSVP, LDP, MPLS L2/L3 VPN, OSPF, and multicast.
  • •Strong IPv4/IPv6 and network management/security capabilities including ACL, OAM, 802.1Q, VRRP/HSRP, TACACS+, RADIUS, FTP/SFTP/TFTP, SSH, NTP, and SNMP.
  • •TS/SCI security clearance required, with experience in security protocols (e.g., 802.1x, IPSEC, MACSEC, SSL/TLS) and familiarity with COMSEC practices.
