Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect and build large-scale systems and services for massive real-time data workloads, including extending ingestion pipelines for new data objects.
  • •Own and continuously improve the backend systems behind core data objects to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • •Mentor engineers on best practices in software design, coding, and operations; lead by example.
  • •Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to align core systems with business objectives.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack development or backend services, especially with high-scale, high-throughput systems.
  • •Proven experience building foundational data-driven systems at scale (e.g., streaming, real-time pipelines, or large-scale data platforms).
  • •Technical leadership skills: drive architectural direction, scope large efforts, and manage technical debt with clear communication of complex concepts.
  • •Strong fundamentals in software design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • •Bonus experience/familiarity with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, React, Go, and SQL/NoSQL databases; plus MongoDB and/or Snowflake; and cloud + Kubernetes (AWS/GCP/Azure).
