Key Responsibilities

  • •Detailed mechanical design and modeling using advanced CAD to create 3D models and 2D drawings for secondary structures, aircraft systems and powerplant devices and assemblies.
  • •Cross-functional integration with avionics, propulsion, software, structures and supply teams to resolve system-level trade-offs and clash resolutions.
  • •Prototyping and testing: build and evaluate physical prototypes to identify design flaws and iterate for better performance and to set up calibration procedures of integrated systems.
  • •Manufacturing and compliance: ensure designs meet manufacturability and integration constraints, defining materials and tolerances (GD&T) to meet ISO/ASME safety standards.
  • •Production and quality: involve production technologies such as composite manufacturing, milling, sheet metal processing and additive manufacturing to provide qualified design and quality assurance basis.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent career experience.
  • •Design and integration of systems from components up to entire architectures, preferably in UAV or aircraft development.
  • •Expertise in CAD software SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX (CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE platform) with Python programming as an advantage.
  • •Familiarity with FAA/EASA certification (e.g., Part 21), ARP 4754, DO160G, UAS regulations (SORA framework) – advantage.
  • •English C1 level; Bulgarian advantage.
