Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake/cooling, steering, engine electronics, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related systems.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment; use handheld computers and pressure gauges to diagnose malfunctions.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including reconciliation and parts ordering from approved vendors.
  • •Document work on repair orders (including uploading photos) and complete DOT forms in a timely, compliant manner.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 5 years of experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as certification plus 3 years, or 7 years experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Must possess and supply a set of hand tools required to perform job duties.
  • •Ability to pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card with required remaining validity).
  • •Hold required certifications or obtain within 18 months (ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609).
