Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products that change how customers interact with their money.
  • •Use technologies including PyTorch, AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, and Lightning to extract insights from large volumes of numeric and textual data.
  • •Build AI foundation models across development phases: design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.
  • •Conduct high-impact applied research to bring state-of-the-art AI developments into next-generation customer experiences.
  • •Lead cross-functional research threads bridging prototype model development and ML engineering deployment to ensure research translates into production impact.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 286,400 - 326,800 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Have or be in the process of obtaining a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or a related field (with experience/degree timing as specified).
  • •Hands-on experience developing AI foundation models and solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms.
  • •Deep understanding of AI methodology foundations, including experience with large deep learning models (language, images, events, or graphs) and areas such as robustness, explainability, and RLHF.
  • •A track record of delivering models at scale across training data and inference volumes with an engineering mindset.
  • •Professional track record of high-quality machine learning ideas and/or improvements, such as first-author publications or projects, and ability to own a research agenda.
