Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform Product Engineering for Genus Synthesis to achieve best-in-class power, performance, and area for the latest digital ASICs.
  • •Understand Genus internal flows for newly developed features, verify correctness, and run experiments to find optimal solutions.
  • •Solve new physical-aware synthesis problems to bridge logic synthesis and place-and-route.
  • •Support field engineers, customers, and R&D as the first line of support, and help verify interoperability with other Cadence digital tools.
  • •Interface with internal and external customers to understand future requirements and document product requirement specifications for new features.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in design and EDA with emphasis on Cadence synthesis, physical design, and timing closure (20nm or below).
  • •Logic design and synthesis skills, including formal verification, low power design, and timing closure for block and top-level designs.
  • •Automation skills using Perl, Tcl, and shell scripting.
  • •Knowledge of HDL, preferably Verilog or SystemVerilog.
  • •Strong analysis and root-cause skills to debug timing closure, logical, and physical design issues.
