Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the cloud-platform roadmap across IaC, networking, storage, compute, and service mesh; translate product/platform/reliability/security needs into sequenced outcomes.
  • •Make infrastructure repeatable and self-service by building maintained IaC interfaces for services, cells, connectivity, identities, and shared resources.
  • •Operate the platforms with production accountability: manage availability, upgrades, isolation, recovery, and incident remediation with clear SLOs and on-call coverage.
  • •Stay technically engaged by reviewing designs/changes, debugging difficult failure modes, and prototyping/automating with AI coding tools (including Replit).
  • •Build and grow a high-ownership engineering team through coaching, technical leadership development, performance management, and hiring.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated engineering management experience leading and developing engineers, making prioritization and performance decisions, and delivering through a team.
  • •Software-oriented infrastructure depth building and operating cloud platforms or distributed systems, including Kubernetes, networking, service identity, and stateful dependencies.
  • •Safe-change and production judgment owning consequential migrations and incidents, with strong failure mode/rollback understanding.
  • •Platform-product engineering judgment to serve internal customers and create adoptable infrastructure interfaces with clear tradeoffs.
  • •Comfort driving and reviewing infrastructure design/production changes, including use of AI coding tools while applying rigorous verification for AI-generated changes.
