Job Summary

Operate and maintain steel stores production equipment to cut warehoused material to size according to shop orders and specifications. Unload transport trucks, load saws, cut billets on production saws, and run machining equipment within the Steel Stores department. Perform material handling, paperwork, and short-end activities, and be prepared to learn and run new equipment. Weekend nights schedule (7PM–7AM) at the Cudahy, WI plant.

Key Responsibilities

•Cut warehoused material to size based on shop orders and specifications
•Unload transport trucks and handle material for the cutting process
•Load saws and cut billets on production saws
•Run Hem saws and associated machining equipment (if applicable)
•Operate Amada saws and the Mazak machining cell, and perform material handling, truck unloading, paperwork, short-end activities, and new equipment onboarding

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent
•Must take and pass an aptitude test (e.g., Accuplacer)
•Ability to perform all functions in the department as assigned
•Overhead crane or forklift experience preferred
•Ability to utilize a tape measure
