Hands-on electrical engineer to design high-reliability hardware for autonomous vehicles, leading a small Core Product team in Clarksburg, MD. You will design analog/digital circuits, power supplies, and PCB stackups for high-safety systems, prototype and validate designs, and collaborate with systems, safety, software, test, and procurement throughout the product development lifecycle, while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Design high-reliability hardware for commercial and military autonomous vehicles, generating design documentation (stress analysis, power budgets, firmware/hardware interfaces, SI/PI analysis).
•Provide technical leadership to a small team of engineers from concept through production.
•Prototype testing, validation, bring-up, and debugging of boards and subsystems; maintain design verification matrices.
•Collaborate with systems, safety, software, test, and procurement across all product development phases.
•Identify and implement improvements to reduce cost, increase yield, and support production ramp-up, while mentoring junior engineers.

•Experience with design for cost, test and manufacturing and with Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar PCB layout software.
