Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in the positioning and preparation of a patient as directed by the surgical team and ensure specimens are labelled and dispatched correctly.
  • •Provide immediate post-operative care.
  • •Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner ensuring safety of patients, visitors and staff.
  • •Adhere to procedures for use of supplies and ordering requirements for the department as directed by line manager.
  • •Ensure accurate data collection related to theatre activity and assist in peri-operative patient care.

Key Requirements

  • •NMC Registered Nurse (Adult and/or Children).
  • •Alternatively, HCPC registered with a Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752.
  • •Previous perioperative experience in Orthopaedics and Spinal is essential.
  • •It would be desirable to have experience in Da Vinci Robotic and liver procedures.
  • •Permanent position with full-time hours (37.5 per week) and shift pattern as listed.
