Job Summary

Lead the Leverage Engineering Pod to multiply the delivery capacity of Product & Engineering through three Squads: Foundations Engineering, Builder Experience (modernizing the product development lifecycle with AI-assisted and agentic development), and Solutions Engineering (partner delivery and contracting oversight). Own the Pod’s strategy, roadmap, investment case, budget, and performance, and hire, develop, and retain engineering managers and senior contributors while making other teams measurably faster.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the strategy and outcomes for a portfolio spanning shared frameworks, developer tooling, and partner delivery, defining what good looks like for each Squad.
•Make Product & Engineering measurably faster by driving adoption of shared frameworks/services, retiring duplicated effort, and proving impact with data.
•Stand up Solutions Engineering by building an agency bench, overseeing contracting and statement-of-work work, and running the handoff protocol to turn contracted work into owned product.
•Modernize the Product Development Lifecycle by leading the shift from AI-assisted to agentic development as a model for the rest of engineering.
•Hire, develop, and retain engineering managers and senior individual contributors, owning performance, succession, and engagement across the Pod.

Key Requirements

•3+ years leading engineering organizations as a Director or Senior Engineering Manager, including managing managers.
•Experience scaling engineering teams while the business grows significantly in revenue, with knowledge of changes needed across people, process, and architecture.
•Experience leading a platform, foundations, or developer-productivity organization with other engineering teams as customers, including measuring and growing impact.
•Ability to deliver meaningful work through outside partners, including selecting agencies, managing statements of work, and ensuring quality and ownership at handoff.
•Daily fluency with AI development tools and strong written/verbal communication to present investment cases to executives and technical cases to staff engineers.
