Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement CPU core IP blocks from synthesis through post-layout verification and tapeout.
  • •Develop custom constraints and use Auto-Place and Route tools to optimize design for aggressive timing and power goals.
  • •Perform floorplanning and routing studies, block/sub-system timing analysis, and low-power/power reduction techniques.
  • •Drive physical verification closure of block/sub-system, including formal equivalence and DRC/LVS-related checks.
  • •Write scripts for data analysis and recipe creation, and collaborate with micro-architecture, RTL, and custom circuit teams to converge to targets.

Key Requirements

  • •BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • •At least 5 years of experience in CPU physical design and timing verification.
  • •Hands-on experience with synthesis/APR flows on multi-voltage, high-frequency designs, including custom polygon editing.
  • •Experience with Tcl scripting.
  • •Experience with floorplanning/physical design and timing closure, including formal equivalence and DRC/LVS plus IR and electro-migration checks.
