Job Summary

Own day-to-day reliability, performance, and operations of Kubernetes clusters that support internal customer workloads, including GPU-enabled use cases. Partner with program teams to onboard workloads, forecast capacity, and scale services as demand grows. Diagnose complex Kubernetes issues, improve observability (Prometheus/Grafana) to reduce MTTR/MTTD, and support GitOps deployments via ArgoCD/Helm. Help automate infrastructure across bare-metal, VMware, and cloud-adjacent government environments.

Key Responsibilities

•Own day-to-day reliability, performance, and operations of Kubernetes clusters supporting internal customer use cases, including GPU-enabled workloads.
•Partner with internal program teams to onboard new workloads, forecast capacity, and support scaling as usage grows.
•Diagnose and resolve complex Kubernetes issues and escalate architecture-level problems to Platform Engineering when needed.
•Build and improve observability (monitoring, alerting, dashboards) to reduce MTTD/MTTR and improve service availability.
•Support GitOps-based deployment (ArgoCD, Helm) and help with infrastructure automation and scaling across bare-metal, VMware, and cloud-adjacent government environments.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years experience).
•Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required.
•Experience installing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting Kubernetes clusters on-premises and/or in the cloud.
•Working knowledge of Kubernetes-adjacent tooling: Helm, Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash.
•Experience with observability and monitoring tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, Alertmanager, or Loki.
