Job Summary

Provide high-quality technical and operational support for customer infrastructure and subscriber technologies across Motorola Solutions Dimetra and Motorola Astro P25 and MOTOTRBO systems. Own ongoing operations, maintenance, upgrades, and technical escalation for NOCC staff and Field Engineers. Support after-hours maintenance and on-call responses, troubleshoot and investigate issues, maintain Help Desk ticket logs, produce as-built documentation, and ensure installations follow Motorola Quality Installation Standards.

Job Function: IT Operations (Systems/Network Admin)

Key Responsibilities

•Own the technical operation and maintenance of Dimetra and Motorola Astro P25 and MOTOTRBO system components across Australia, including central and remote sites.
•Deliver engineering and upgrade support for key subsystems, including network management, console dispatch, and voice/telephony logging associated LAN/WANs.
•Act as a technical escalation point for NOCC staff and Field Engineers, providing technical user support and customer service via phone and physically.
•Participate in an after-hours on-call roster, support planned maintenance and upgrades, and investigate problems with short- and long-term analysis.
•Follow operational/help desk procedures: accurately log and update Help Desk tickets, produce/update as-built documentation, and ensure installations/configurations meet Motorola Quality Installation Standards.

Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

•Tertiary qualifications in Electronics / Computer Systems Engineering or similar (extensive industry experience considered as an alternative).
•Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
•Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or similar.
•Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019.
•Experience with network design, fault finding, maintenance (LAN/WAN/routers/switches/servers/workstations/applications) and network security including firewalls, intrusion detection, and anti-virus.
